Introducing the Orange/iCampus Hackathon Attendees : Patience Koteah

Patience is an award-winning development leader on human rights, civil activism, and social advocacy. She works with civil society organizations catalyzing change within her local community for over five years. Patience is the founder and Chief Executive Officer at Taking Action for Girls (TAG-Liberia), a non-for-profit social movement that addresses gender inequalities, social injustice, and discrimination against people living with an acute and shallow disability.

She currently works at the Inclusive Development Initiative (IDI) on a development project that seeks to lobby government to support national policy reform and monetary investment across the country’s education sector.

The Campaigners for Change International in 2015 recognized her commitment as a philanthropic humanitarian in the development terrain and awarded her a motivational High-Performance Leadership award.

At the Orange Liberia/iCampus hackathon scheduled for May 30 and May 31, 2019, Patience will work with selected participants to invent ideas on how we can use technology to solve complex social issues and provide a real-life solution to existing challenges that generally affect Liberians.

The Orange/iCampus hackathon will utilize an innovative approach to address social issues by building technology solutions to assist women and organizations to create constructive talking points around the positive use of technology in relation to economic, social and health-related issues.
